Shots

Mom is dragging me to the doctors office in like 10 minutes to get shots so I thought I should just tell you all goodbye now because I am pretty sure I am gonna die. This is child abuse I tell you! In other news, we took Roscoe (our cat) to the vet today. Apparently his teeth are bad so we bought him a tooth brush so dad could brush his teeth every night, it is a pathetic sight too see, almost as bad as when dad gives him a bath. Well I've got to go get those dreadful shots, I just hope I make it out alive!

Stuck At Home

Mom and dad got home at about 12 last night, they took a back road out of Camp Williams. And grandpa slept in his office in a bed made out of chairs. When I woke up this morning I went down stairs to see if my school was closed. The news said about 7 elementary schools were closed or starting late, but my school was open. So I went to get ready. When I was done I went down to check again and they said there would be no bus service so to make it there on our own cause school was still in session. But mom and dad rode home in the same car last night so we only had one car and mom had to be to school! My friend Shay called and said that her mom called the school and asked what was going on and they told her it was too dangerous for them to send the bus drivers out but that we still needed to be at school. So basically it was too dangerous for the bus drivers but we still needed to drive in the snow to get there. And the stupid part is that we have a snow day set apart for days like this and they WON'T use it! And it got worse, when Shay's mom said she was pulling Shay out of school the lady said they werent even taking attendance so we could stay home! So basically they arent really holding school just making people drive forever to sit in a class all day! SO STUPID! So I stayed home today and finished Kellie and Hagen's valentines and brought them over to their school.

Another Near Death Experience!

Well I really should be in bed but I doubt there will be any school tomarrow and mom and dad are not home. Where are my parents? They are stuck at Camp Williams for the night!
I got home from school just when the snow started and at about five mom called and said that she was stuck in a parking lot. She was stuck there for two hours and then she decided to try and make it home. Dad didnt even attempt to get out of Camp Williams and neither did grandpa, the traffic is a MESS! Mom finally made it to Camp but it took her two hours to get there from Draper. And it took grammy almost five hours to get home! Right now SR 73 is closed so there is no way in or out of Eagle Mountain! It isnt even snowing that hard, people just left their cars so now there is MAJOR traffic problems and the snow plows are out tonight! I doubt mom and dad will make it home. And grandpa has given up on the idea and is now asleep in him office at camp. Hopefully there will be a snowday tomarrow and everyone will finally get home! : )
P.S. Too bad you live in Texas Kristi..... you miss out on ALL the extreme weather!

President Hinckley's Viewing

Last night Mom, Kellie and I rode trax to the Delta Center to meet grammy. Before we went to Temple Square we went to a little candy shop cause mom had a 50$ gift certificate. Mom got some cherrys that were covered in some stuff, a pound and a half of fudge ( when you bought a pound you got half of one for free), some honey rosted almonds and some honey. Grammy got a half a pound of fudge for grandpa and some carmel turtles. We about ate ourselves sick by the time we found a parking spot! When we finally got to the conference center 2 lines were wrapped clear around it. By the time we found the end of the line it was 5:30. It took us about an hour just to get around the first corner then we stood in line for another hour before we got inside. It was freezing outside and all of us were wearing skirts. Mom was wearing her high heeled shoes and they were killing her feet. There were some kids playing over by the building on a big vent thing, and they quietly said that they could feel some heat coming up, instantly 40 people were over there. It really wasnt that warm but it felt good to pretend that I wasn't freezing to death. When we got inside and went through security they seated us and told us it would be at least two hours. I curled up on the ground in between the rows of seats( I had a long skirt on!) and fell asleep. In about an hour and a half we got in line again. That line went somewhat quick so we finally got through the line at about 9:45. It was a long night but I am glad that I went to it. I just feel bad that I never saw him while he was alive. It was worth the wait!
